Care across New York
Online Psychiatric Care in New York City and Statewide
For many New Yorkers in the city, finding time for appointments is the hard part. Getting across town for a visit can take longer than the visit itself. Online care lets you meet from home or another private space, without the commute.
Outside the city, the challenge is often distance. In parts of upstate New York and Long Island, there may be few psychiatric providers nearby. Online care brings evaluation and medication management to you, wherever you are in the state.

Your care, step by step
How Online Visits Work in New York
Every new patient starts with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. We review your symptoms, history, current and past medications, and what you want to get out of treatment. Then we talk through what may be going on, your options, and a treatment plan built around you.
After that, follow-up visits are used to see how treatment is working, adjust the plan when needed, and answer your questions along the way.
Comprehensive evaluation
Talk through your symptoms, health and treatment history, current concerns, and goals with your provider.
A plan built around you
Discuss what may be contributing to your symptoms and review clinically appropriate treatment options together.
Ongoing follow-up
Review how treatment is working, discuss questions or side effects, and adjust the plan when needed.
Prepare for your first visit
- Be physically in New York State during your appointment.
- Have a device with a camera and a private place to talk.
- Allow up to 4 business days for insurance verification.
Want to talk before scheduling an evaluation?
We offer a 15-minute pre-booking consultation for $50. It's a chance to ask questions and see whether our practice is the right fit. It isn't a psychiatric evaluation, and no diagnoses, medication recommendations, or prescriptions are given during it. The fee is nonrefundable and isn't credited toward future appointments.

Understanding adult ADHD
ADHD Evaluation and Treatment in New York
Many adults are evaluated for ADHD for the first time years after their symptoms began. Some managed for a long time with structure and extra effort, until a demanding job, graduate school, or a growing family made it impossible to keep up.
An adult ADHD evaluation looks at your current symptoms, how long you've had them, and how they affect work, home, and relationships. It also considers other conditions, like anxiety or depression, that can look similar or exist alongside ADHD.
ADHD can look different in women
Symptoms are often less outwardly hyperactive and more internal: trouble focusing, mental exhaustion, forgetfulness, or feeling constantly behind despite working hard. Many women aren't diagnosed until adulthood, sometimes after years of being treated only for anxiety or depression. Understanding how ADHD presents in women is a particular focus of our practice.

ADHD Medications and Telehealth
Medication can be an important part of ADHD treatment, but it's never the starting point. Any medication decision follows a full psychiatric evaluation and is based on what's clinically appropriate for you.
Prescribing, including for stimulants and other controlled medications, follows applicable federal and New York requirements. That includes checking New York's Prescription Monitoring Program, which tracks controlled medication prescriptions across the state.
Care is primarily provided via telehealth. When required to meet applicable controlled-substance prescribing requirements, an in-person appointment may be arranged.
No specific medication is guaranteed through telehealth. What we can promise is a careful evaluation, a clear explanation of your options, and a say in the decisions about your treatment.
Treatment decisions are collaborative and based on a full evaluation.
